1977 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera
This is an original unrestored 77 Porsche 930 with only 36,000 original miles. The paint is the original Guards Red and is in exceptional condition. The interior is original black leather. This car is well preserved and is an excellent example of one of the most powerful cars of its time.
The Porsche 930 is a sports car built by Porsche between 1975 and 1989, known to the public as the 911 Turbo. It was the maker’s top-of-the-range 911 model for its entire production duration and, at the time of its introduction, was the fastest production car available in Germany.
Porsche badged the vehicle simply as “Turbo” (although early U.S. units were badged as “Turbo Carrera”) and debuted it at the Paris Auto Show in October 1974 before putting it on sale in the spring of 1975; export to the United States began in 1976.
Body is rust free and has the original Guards Red paint. The paint is in excellent condition and shines nearly like new. The wheels 16×7’s and 16×8’s, are the originals and have not ever been refinished, again they look like new.
The interior of this car is as you would expect for a low mile car. Seats, carpeting and door panels are like new. This car came with the optional AM/FM cassette which has a record option. Located in the console just above the air conditioning fan is a microphone that pulls out on a retractable cord which enables you to record onto cassettes while you drive. I guess they did not have dictaphones back then.
Engine is in excellent condition and performs perfectly. Recent engine out service includes a new clutch pressure plate, clutch discs, throw out bearing and transmission syncros. The engine was also updated with the hydraulic cam chain tensioner kit.
